Chiefs Trade QB Alex Smith

The Kansas Chiefs have agreed to trade QB Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins in exchange for CB Kendall Fuller and a third round pick. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen Smith will sign a four-year extension with the Redskins, averaging $23.5 million per year with $71 million in guaranteed money. It is expected that 1st Round Draft Pick QB Patrick Mahomes II will become the starter. He has shown that he is more than capable of being a starting QB in the NFL.
